In 2022, Newfoundland and Labrador celebrated Come Home Year. The campaign was designed to encourage former residents of the province to return home and inspire tourists to visit the province. Deemed an overwhelming success, Come Home 2022 resulted in over 340 projects across 171 communities, celebrating local culture, arts and recreation. Former residents returned in droves, visitation increased, and provincial parks recorded its highest visitation ever.
