The National Karate Championships (Junior/Senior) was held in Newfoundland and Labrador in 2022, and it was a tremendous success. This highly-regarded event showcased some of Canada’s most skilled karate athletes and was a highlight of the province’s martial arts calendar.

The championship took place at the Mile One Centre in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, in September 2022. This top-notch facility has hosted some of the most significant events in the province’s history, and the National Karate Championships was no exception.

The event featured athletes from across Canada competing in various events, including kata (forms), kumite (sparring), and team competitions. Athletes competed in different age and belt categories, making it a truly inclusive event that catered to a wide range of participants.

In addition to the exciting competition, the National Karate Championships provided a chance for attendees to learn more about the history and culture of karate.
