In May 2017, St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador had the honor of hosting the Hockey Canada Spring Congress. The event took place at the Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland and brought together representatives from all thirteen branches of Hockey Canada.

The Hockey Canada Spring Congress is an annual event where members gather to discuss and vote on rule changes, review the organization’s finances and policies, and elect new members to the board of directors. It is also an opportunity for coaches, officials, and administrators to attend seminars and workshops to enhance their skills and knowledge.

As a passionate hockey community, hosting the Hockey Canada Spring Congress in St. John’s was a great opportunity for Newfoundland and Labrador to showcase its love for the sport and its commitment to promoting its growth across the country. Attendees were able to experience the unique culture and hospitality of Newfoundland and Labrador while exchanging ideas and building relationships with other members of the hockey community.
